Di Giorgio Serie Artistica Autor No. 3 Nylon-String
RESERVE PRICE MET
Italian luthier Romeo di Giorgio emigrated to Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1908, where he established the Di Giorgio guitar workshop. His instruments were played by the great Paraguayan guitarist and composer Augustín Barrios Mangoré as well as Heitor Villa-Lobos.
The Autor 3 was the workshop's top-of-the-line model and was the guitar of choice for such bossa nova innovators as Antônio Carlos Jobim, João Gilberto, and Baden Powell.
This instrument was built by Reinaldo di Giorgio in 1965. Among its distinctive features are round brass tuners decorated front and back with mother-of-pearl. (One of the two inlays for the B-string tuning key is a replacement.)Product Specs
