Guild dreadnought, made in Westerly, Rhode Island, USA, serial number 123241. Spruce top with mahogany back and sides with plastic tortoiseshell binding. Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, 25-1/2" scale. “Peaked” style headstock logo. Added strap button in neck heel. “’75” written in marker on the interior center strip, next to Guild brand. Hardshell case. Good condition. Est. $900–$1,100

As one of the great, if underappreciated guitar makers, Guild has crafted some outstanding archtops, small-bodied guitars, jumbos, and dreadnoughts. This workingman’s mahogany dreadnought shows plenty of honest playwear, but is otherwise in very good, very playable condition, and has a mature, punchy, and open sound.
