Charis SJ model, made by Bill Wise in Bay City, Michigan, 2007, serial number 153. Small jumbo body with Carpathian spruce top and African blackwood back and sides. Five-piece neck of Brazilian rosewood, maple, and ebony, with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and tuner buttons. Wide-thin C-shaped neck profile with 1-13/16" nut width and 2-3/8" spacing at bridge. This highly ornamented guitar features doves-in-flight fingerboard position markers and extensive abalone inlay purfling, rosette, and headstock inlay. Internal pickup. Original hardshell case. This high-end boutique guitar pulls out all of the stops with premium woods and extensive presentation-level ornamentation. It has a small jumbo body for a balanced sound, and a thin but wide neck that provides plenty of room for fingerpicking.
