Luthier Bill Hollenbeck is likely most known for his contribution to the Chinery “Blue Guitar” collection, a unique collection of archtop guitars made by contemporary builders. This guitar was handmade in Hollenbeck’s shop in 1994 as part of his Simplicity series, which used the same tonewoods as his standard guitars, but was more plainly appointed. This 17” archtop has a cutaway and a Johnny Smith type pickup for live use.
