This Guild JF65-12 Custom 2000 is from Acoustic Guitar magazine's 10th Anniversary Collection.

Great 12-strings such as this JF65-12 have consistently ensured Guild's permanent place in guitar history. And this guitar has the added distinction of being the only 12-string in the Acoustic Guitar 10th Anniversary Collection.

The Guild JF65-12 demonstrates masterful articulation in sound. One of the keys to achieving the noted clarity and definition of this guitar is the durable style of construction that Guild craftsmen employed at the company's Rhode Island plant where this guitar was made. This custom guitar features highly flamed maple sides, an arched flame maple back, a select AAA-grade spruce top and a traditional nitrocellulose lacquer finish. A specially engineered bracing pattern guarantees enduring stability. The guitar's neck features double truss rods, a 1 13/16-inch nut width, and an ebony fingerboard. A built-in Fishman transducer with on-board controls allows you to take the bold sound of this guitar to the stage.

The rich voice of this powerful guitar is matched only by its exquisite appointments. Inlaid with mother of pearl blocks featuring separate abalone insets, the fingerboard exudes class. An abalone rosette and the mother-of-pearl Acoustic Guitar 10th Anniversary logo inlaid on the headstock complete the guitar's handsome appearance.

A beautiful instrument with compelling sound, this guitar is a treasure in its own right.

Year 2000

From the December 2000 issue of Acoustic Guitar Magazine:

Another top-of-the-line instrument came to us from Guild. The company’s JF-65-12 12-string features flamed maple back and sides and a solid spruce top. The neck is ornately bound, and the fingerboard sports classy pearl and abalone block inlays. In classic Guild fashion, the guitar features a three- piece neck with a double truss rod as well as the arched back and special top bracing pattern that contribute to the instrument’s signature sound. The A.G. anniversary logo is prominently displayed on the gigantic headstock’s black veneer, and active Fishman electronics, complete with volume and tone controls, ensure that the guitar will sound just as good on stage as it does in the living room.
