A few months before his untimely death in January 2016, the great virtuoso guitarist Pete Huttlinger shared with AG readers his inspirational story of how he beat long odds by regaining his guitar-playing chops after he suffered a stroke and a heart attack a few months apart in 2010 and 2011. It was a long, slow recovery with numerous roadblocks along the way. But through persistence, hard work, and a good attitude, he was eventually able to overcome obstacles that might have defeated lesser players. It’s a hopeful and encouraging story, despite the sad postscript of his passing.
