Barre chords are useful for moving chord shapes around the neck, especially in keys that don’t work well in open position. In this lesson we will discuss the rhythmic advantage of using barre chords in certain situations, as well as touch upon the challenges of holding these shapes, especially in the lower part of the neck. We will also cover some strategies for mapping out chord progressions on the neck when using barre chords.
